Are you interested in serving the North Hills and Ardsley areas by
becoming a volunteer for the Edge Hill Fire Department? Applications
for membership are being accepted. Applicants MUST either live or
work within one and one half miles of the Edge Hill Fire District, which
covers basically the Ardsley and North Hills sections of Abington Township.
An application may be obtained by stopping at the
fire house on business meeting nights. Business meetings
are held on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of every month at 8:00 in the evening.
The fire house is located at 2843 Limekiln Pike, which is right at the
corner of Limekiln Pike and Central Avenue in North Hills.

Applications can also be obtained just by stopping in at the station
while members are present (usually after a call). We provide the training and the equipment. The only thing you
need to provide is the time and the willingness to learn. If you don’t
necessarily want to “run into a burning building while others are running
out”, that’s OK… there is PLENTY to do at a fire scene or
